About Trunnell's Farm Market
Trunnell's Farm Market roots date back to 1990 when
Kevin planted 1 acre of sweet corn and sold it in the front yard out of the
back of his truck.
In 1993, sales of sweet corn and tomatoes were moved
to an old tobacco barn. A simple lean-to shed was built on the side of
the barn facing the road. each year more acres and variety of
vegetables were added. Pumpkins, mums, and other fall decoration items
were added in 2000.
The early spring of 2006 brought a storm that damaged
the old tobacco barn and lean-to beyond repair. The 2006 and 2007
seasons were handled by using a temporary tent and constructions on the new
market building began in September 2007. |
